Better together: the potential of partnerships

Coalition Reaches Out at Upcoming BCMA Annual Conference, October 3-6, Victoria, BC

Join members of the Coalition of Museums for Climate Justice for a lively and interactive exploration of ways in which museums can join forces with others to achieve their mutual goals of animating positive responses to climate change. We have welcoming comments by Peter Ord and Robert Bateman from The Robert Bateman Centre.

Robert Bateman

We are currently arranging to provide a few exciting speakers who will stimulate conversations on how to create meaningful alliances and effective partnerships.  CEO Dr. Kate Moran will share her perspective on important roles for museums in science education, using the public education mandate of Oceans Networks Canada as an example.

We are also planning to have a First Nations speaker talk about indigenous knowledge and effective First Nations climate change initiatives.   We intend to provide sufficient time for dialogue, questions, ideas, possibilities, from all participants.  Please come prepared to discuss and share your ideas.

This session is hosted by the Robert Bateman Centre which has generously sponsored breakfast. There is no charge, but we ask that you please register. Space is limited.

Thanks, from Coalition session coordinators David Jensen, Joy Davis, and Peter Ord.
